Axon Global CEO Israel Martinez Serves as Liaison to VIPs attending DHS for Cyber Storm X National Cyber Exercise
Axon Global Continues Longstanding Role in Premier Cybersecurity Simulation Since 2016
Axon Global (Axon), a leader in proactive cyber defense, AI-enabled enterprise risk management, and counterintelligence solutions, today announced the active participation of its CEO, Israel Martinez, as the VIP Liaison to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for Cyber Storm X, the latest iteration of the nation’s premier biennial cyber exercise. Five others with Axon will also be participating.
Modeled after previous highly successful iterations such as Cyber Storm IX, Cyber Storm X is a confidential, invitation-only national cyber exercise sponsored by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and DHS. It brings together thousands of participants from federal, state, local, and international government agencies with owners and operators of the nation’s critical infrastructure to simulate discovery of and response to a large-scale, coordinated cyberattack impacting critical infrastructure sectors.
This is not a public conference, but a rigorous, realistic simulation designed to test policies, procedures, information sharing mechanisms, coordination, and decision-making under crisis conditions. The exercise strengthens national cyber resilience by identifying strengths and gaps in incident response capabilities across the public and private sectors.
Israel Martinez, CEO of Axon Global, is serving in a key liaison role for Axon VIPs attending DHS Cyber Storm X, helping facilitate high-level coordination and engagement during the exercise.
Axon Global has been an active participant and/or advisor in the Cyber Storm series since 2016, contributing its expertise in proactive cyber defense strategies and enterprise risk management. These high-profile events have featured exclusive VIP luncheons with prominent industry and government leaders, including the former Department of Homeland Security Secretary, focusing on cutting-edge topics in cybersecurity leadership and resilience.
“Participating in Cyber Storm exercises for over a decade has reinforced the critical importance of proactive, intelligence-driven cyber defenses that go beyond traditional reactive measures,” said Israel Martinez, CEO of Axon Global and VIP Liaison to DHS for Cyber Storm X. “Axon Global is proud to continue supporting these vital public-private simulations that strengthen our nation’s ability to withstand and rapidly recover from sophisticated cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure.”
Cyber Storm X builds on lessons learned from prior real-world incidents and previous exercises, providing participants the opportunity to evaluate their incident response plans, enhance cross-sector coordination, and improve overall preparedness in today’s dynamic threat environment.
