2025 March 03, Sherman Texas.
Israel Martinez, CEO of Axon Global, Receives a City of Sherman Official Proclamation on behalf of American Red Cross-NTX. The Sherman City Council officially recognized March as American Red Cross Month with a formal proclamation honoring the organization’s humanitarian efforts and the vital role of local volunteers, donors, and partners.
During a recent City Council meeting, Israel Martinez, board member of the American Red Cross DFW Metro East Chapter, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the organization. The chapter serves communities across Grayson, Collin, Dallas, and Rockwall counties, providing disaster relief, lifesaving blood services, and community preparedness programs.
“The American Red Cross is honored to partner with the City of Sherman, along with its employees and local agencies, to help build safer, healthier, and more resilient communities,” said Martinez during the presentation.
The proclamation also highlighted the generosity of Sherman residents, whose ongoing support enables the Red Cross to respond quickly to emergencies and assist individuals and families in times of crisis.
Each March, Red Cross Month is celebrated nationwide to recognize the compassion and commitment of volunteers, blood donors, and supporters who make the organization’s mission possible.
“As we celebrate Red Cross Month, we thank our volunteers, blood donors, and everyone who supports our mission,” Martinez added. “We encourage community members to get involved—whether by donating, giving blood, or volunteering—to help prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies.”
The City of Sherman joins communities across the country in recognizing the American Red Cross and its enduring impact on public safety, disaster response, and community resilience.
